Since I was in the neighborhood anyway, I decided to finally stop and check out Calico Ghost Town this past week after passing it by countless times on various road trips to Las Vegas. Sadly, it’s pretty cheesy as ghost towns go and has (with the exception of the town cemetery) a mostly-Disneyland vibe to it, which isn’t surprising given the fact that the original 1950s renovation was done by the founder of Knott’s Berry Farm. Even so, there were some interesting things to look at and, at the very least, I’m glad to be able to cross Calico off my list.
