    • Lori, that happened to me a few years ago and the next year I tried a couple of tricks that I read about in a magazine. The first was to sprinkle cayenne pepper in the hole before planting the bulb. The second was to wrap the bulb in dog fur before planting. I did both and all of my bulbs were left alone and bloomed the following spring. It’s been a couple of years now and my daffodils are all still going strong.
