iciclesqI can no longer look at an icicle without being reminded of the twisted but oh-so-satisfying final pages of The Lovely Bones. Anyone read it? Talk about poetic justice! :-)

    • Thank you, Timelady. Perhaps not appropriate to call it a “happy ending” but given the fact that it was such an unusual, dark book, what the author came up with was pretty close. :-)

    • It’s a very unusual book. The author starts with a disturbing, even horrifying, premise and manages to write a narrative that is surprisingly beautiful. It’s been a while since I’ve read it but it’s one of those books that stays with you.
