Know thyself!  A maxim as pernicious as it is ugly.  Whoever observes himself arrests his own development.  A caterpillar who wanted to know itself well would never become a butterfly.  ~Andre Gide

      • Keep your expectations low – yours is much more dramatic :)

Also, you had commented on learning how to make photo collages. Not sure if you follow-up on comments you leave in albums, so I thought I’d add a short note here. On Webshots where I have been posting for a few years, a number of folks there have asked how I do it, so I created a how-to workshop-style album. If you would like to check it out, there are notes below each image that provide step-by-step details. You may find it helpful. The first page is at the link below, and then you can keep clicking “next” for each successive page. My username there is ‘christianchen’. Enjoy:

        • Thank you! I will check it out. I’m confused now…I’ve been addressing you as Kris but is your name, in fact, Chris? Please do let me know. It’s a mistake I would hate to make being a Caryn with a “C” and all. :-)

  1. Hi Caryn

Caryn is an unusual spelling, but it’s nice. And in my case yes, Chris it is, despite the name of this website. It’s a bit of a long story, which I will spare you :) Brevity is not yet one of my strengths, but am working on it. Constantly. But there’s always hope, right?

The workshop info posted on webshots is a bit wordy too, and might provide more info than you need. Feel free to skim what you don’t need. Hope it is helpful. Apparently webshots is only accessible with windows, not with Mac.

Long enough once again. Have a great evening,
