Here it is February 13th and I’m still getting my bearings as far as this no-longer-quite-so-new year goes. It’s been snowing and quite wintery up here in the mountains, which usually makes me want to do nothing more than stay inside with a good book and my Netflix queue, but I have somehow managed to venture down to the desert on a couple of occasions. My afternoon in Palm Springs was truly spectacular what with the cloudless, technicolor-blue skies, lunch alfresco, and the enormous Forever Marilyn statue that’s been installed downtown. Extremely popular with the tourists, the trick was getting a photo in which the 26-foot-tall sculpture was not being molested or used for any number of obscene photo opportunities. Men of all ages acting like 12-year-olds. Seriously guys, grow up!

I like that the runner gives the statue scale.
Thanks. I agree. For me, he makes the shot. :-)
Such fun! Love your point-of-view and perspective. She appears larger than life!!!
Thank you, Marcie!
